The Card



Description

Like most debit cards, our Cards bear a 16-digit account number and expiration date on the front and a security code on the back.  To speed delivery, we don't print the Cardholder's name.

For security reasons, we assign each Card a 4-digit Personal Identification Number (PIN).  That's why your money is safe, even if your Card is lost or stolen.

Currently, all Card accounts are in Euro denominations and can be re-loaded for 2 years, according to the Account Limits.

Account Limits

Load Limit: $2,500/day - $9,500/month

Maximum Daily Balance: $2,500

Free Account Upgrade

For no additional charge, we can increase your Account Limits to:

Load Limit: $9,500/day - $9,500/month

Maximum Daily Balance: $9,500.

To upgrade your account, simply email scans of the following documents to Member Services:

1. Your Passport photo page; and

2. Your Government-Issued Photo ID (e.g. Driver's License) or a Utility Bill (e.g. water, power, gas, cable, telephone, etc...) bearing your current home address.

Load Fees

When re-loading your Card, we deduct 3% of your deposit as our Load Fee.

Example:

You deposit $500.

We deduct a Load Fee of $15.

We credit $485 to your Card.

Cuban Service Fees

When withdrawing funds from you Card, Cuban ATMs, banks and CADECAs deduct 3% of your withdrawal as their Service Fee.

Example:

You withdraw $500.

They deduct a Service Fee of $15.

You get $485.

Card Processor Fees

When using your Card, the Card Processor deducts the following fees:

ATM: $3.50

Bank/CADECA: $5.00

Purchase: $1.00

Balance Inquiry: $1.00

Declined Transaction: $1.00

TIP: To avoid unnecessary Declined Transaction Fees, ALWAYS verify that you have sufficient funds to make a withdrawal or purchase BEFORE you swipe your Card.

Withdrawal Limits

ATM: Withdaw up to $500/transaction, up to 5 transactions/day.  Limit: $2,500/day

TIP: For best results, use ATMs located at banks, airports, and resorts.

Bank/CADECA: Withdraw up to the amount in your account.

Spending Limits

Spend up to the amount in your account.

Make up to 15 purchases/day.

Ordering

To open a Card account, we require a minimum Initial Deposit of $250.

We deduct the Card price ($9.95) and shipping cost from your Initial Deposit and add the remaining Load Amount to your Card, less our Load Fee.

Funds Availability Policy

We hold the Load Amount in a non-interest bearing account for two (2) business days prior to loading. (Weekends and bank holidays do not count.)

Once cleared, we credit the Load Amount to your Card according to its Load Limit and Maximum Daily Balance.  

Your funds are then available according to the Withdrawal and Spending Limits.

Administrative Fees

To open and maintain your Card account, the Issuing Bank charges the following fees:

To open your Card account, the Issuing Bank deducts a one-time $10 Account Activation Fee from your first load.


If there are funds in your Card account, the Issuing Bank deducts a monthly $2.50 Account Maintenance Fee.

If there are funds in your Card account and you don't use your Card for three (3) consecutive months, the Issuing Bank deducts a monthly $5.00 Dormant Account Fee until you begin using it again.

TIP: To AVOID Account Maintenance and Dormant Account Fees, withdraw ALL funds from your Card when your aren't using it.

Payment

We accept payment by wire transfer ONLY. 

Member Services will provide you with wire transfer instructions, along with the shipping costs. 

IMPORTANT: After making a payment, you must email your bank's confirmation receipt to Member Services.

For Members who bank online, we will accept a screen-shot of the transfer confirmation.

Delivery

Once loaded, we courier your Card to your home address.  No PO Boxes.

Normal delivery time is 3 - 4 business days. Overnight delivery is available.

Card Activation

Once you contact Member Services and confirm receipt of your Card, we activate it and email your PIN.

TIP: For security reasons, save your PIN and delete the original message.

In the event you lose or forget your PIN, Member Services will assist you.
